Merchant Navy Eligibility & Qualifications for IMUCET 2027

Academic Requirements: Candidates must passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), with minimum 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English. Click Here To Check

Age Limit: The minimum age is 17 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years.

Medical Fitness: Medical fitness as per DG Shipping standards is mandatory. 6/6 vision without glasses and no color blindness.


Educational Qualifications

·         Class 12th Marks: Pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for officer ranks and other stream for rating exam.

·         Minimum Percentage: Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM.

·         English Marks: At least 50% in English in either Class 10 or Class 12.

 

Age Limit (For DNS, BSc, B.tech)

·         Male: Maximum 25 years.

Female: Maximum 27 years.

·         OBC (NCL): Up to 28 years (Male) / 30 years (Female).

·         SC/ST: Up to 30 years (Male) / 32 years (Female).

 

Academic Marks Relaxation

·         PCM Aggregate: SC/ST candidates get a 5% relaxation in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) marks required for eligibility (e.g., requirement drops from 60% to 55% where applicable).

·         English Marks: There is no relaxation for SC/ST candidates in English subject marks.

 

Age Limit Relaxation

·         Male Candidates: Maximum age limit is relaxed to 30 years.

·         Female Candidates: Maximum age limit is relaxed to 32 years.

 

Qualifying Marks / Percentile Cut-off

·         Passing / Cut-off Percentile: Qualifying entrance exam is lower for reserved categories. SC/ST candidates require a lower qualifying percentile (approx 45 percentile) compared to the General category (60 percentile).

NDA (I) 2020 exam date will be announced on June 5 by the Union Public Service Commission. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be announced on May 20. However, it has been deferred due to some reason.  The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will announce NDA (I) exam date on June 5. Earlier, the exam date was expected to be out on May 20. However, UPSC in a single-line notice on its official website has informed that the exam date will be announced on June 5 after assessing the situation. The commission will upload a revised examination calendar for 2020. NDA aspirants have to wait for some more days for the exam dates. NDA (I) 2020  was scheduled to be conducted on April 19, however, UPSC had postponed the exam due to nation-wide lockdown following the outbreak of COVID-19.
