IMU-CET Coaching in Chandigarh 

The candidates who have an interest in joining the Indian Merchant Navy must pass the IMU-CET (Common Entrance Test) examination. the doorway exam in conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU) annually for admissions in various programmes offered by IMU campuses and its affiliated institutes. 

IMU-CET Exam Pattern 

IMU-CET exam is conducted online. The question paper will have 6 sections and comprises a complete of 200 questions. Aspirants will need to attempt these questions in 3 hours (180 minutes). The questions are going to be of multiple choice type. 
There is NO negative marking for wrongly marked questions 

Eligibility Criteria 

1. Deck Cadet 

Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) as a topic of choice, with a minimum of 60% marks.
with Physics because the only subject in one among the years of B.Sc. in PCM or Electronics with a mean of not but 50% marks from a UGC/DEC recognized university.
B.E./ B.Tech. Degree from a university recognized by AICTE.
Should have passed with not but 50% marks in English as a separate subject at either 10th or 12th standard.
Age Limit: Up to 25 Years.
Others: Eyesight should be 6/6 with no color blindness or any eye defect. 

2. B.S. Nautical Technology
Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) as a topic of choice, with a minimum of 60% marks.
Passed with 50% marks in English as a separate subject at either 10th or 12th standard. 
Age Limit: Up to 25 Years.
Others: Eyesight should be 6/6 with no color blindness or any eye defect. 



3. Marine Engineering (TME) 
Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM)as a topic of choice, with a minimum of 60% marks.
Passed with 50% marks in English as a separate subject at either 10th or 12th standard.
Age Limit: Up to 25 Years.
Others: Use of corrective lenses is permitted but the utmost permissible limits at entry are +- 2.5 with no color blindness .
