Exam Pattern:
AFCAT Exam is conducted by Indian Air force for selection of officer within the three major branches: Flying branch, Technical branch, Ground duty branch. it's conducted in twice in year (December/February and June/august).
Duration of exam is 2 hours and 100 objective types questions. Each question contain 3 marks & negative marking for wrong question if -1.

AFCAT is conducted twice a year at national level by Indian Air Force to pick its officers for above three branch. What is NCC Special Entry Eligibility?
NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after June is mandatory. Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2.
What is Meteorology Entry Eligibility?
Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment / Geophysics/ Environmental Biology with minimum of fifty marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in each).
What is the method of Examination / Selection?
The AFCAT entry involves Written Exam, SSB, Medical then the ultimate merit list is formed for the recommended candidates.
Phase 1. AFCAT Written Exam may be a common entrance examination for all candidates choosing different branch, which comprises of 100 Questions of three Marks each. Negative marking of 1 mark is additionally there for each wrong answer.
For candidates choosing technical branch, each other test Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) is persisted an equivalent day for evaluating the technical ability of the candidate, which comprises of fifty Question of three Marks each.
